Trafficking arrest made

The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit and the Leeds Police Department, with the assistance of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office K9 Madonna, investigated a drug trafficking case in the Pell City Area that resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 pounds of heroin.

 Thirty-Six-year-old Alejandro Lopez of Santa Anna, California was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and is being held in the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville on a 1.5-million-dollar bond.
