Stovall arrested for attempted murder

Event: Attempted murder, shooting gun into an occupied building

Place: Steele, AL

On August 5th, 2024 around 2pm St. Clair County Patrol Division responded to a shots fired call on Duncan Farms Rd. in Steele. Once on scene it was discovered that an altercation had taken place in the parking lot of the victim's employer. The suspect attempted to force the victim out of her vehicle and when she refused to exit Stovall then discharged a firearm into the occupied vehicle.

Warrants were obtained by the St. Clair County CID for shooting into an occupied building and attempted murder.

The US Marshall's Service and Etowah County Sheriff's Office assisted the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office in locating and apprehending Stovall at a residence in Gadsden.

He is booked into the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City with bond set at $1,500,000.00.
