Shooting Investigation on Florida Rd.

Incident- Shooting investigation

Location- Florida Rd. in Pell City

Victim: A 45 y/o, w/m of Pell City

Tonight around 6:43 pm St. Clair County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division was dispatched to Florida Rd about a theft of property report.

Upon arriving on scene witnesses stated there was an incident in progress around the 500 block of Florida Rd. Once deputies entered the residence, A 45-year-old male was found in the home with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The Victim was transported to St. Vincent's St. Clair for medical treatment and was pronounced deceased.

A suspect was detained at the residence and the scene has been turned over to the St. Clair County Criminal Investigation Division.

The investigation will continue into the night and no further information will be shared at this time.
