Scam Alert- Spoofing the Sheriff's Office phone numbers

The Sheriff's Office has received several calls about residents getting spoofing calls from the Sheriff's Office phone numbers.
The scammers doing this were pretending to work for the Sheriff's Office while threatening people with arrest warrants and asking for fines to be paid.
This threat is one scammers use as a scare tactic.
Please be aware of this scam and do not give anyone your personal information, credit card number and do not go purchase money orders or gift cards to pay any fines!
The Sheriff's Office will never call you and tell you that we have a warrant for your arrest and will never ask you for money, credit cards, or gift cards for any reason!
