Promotion of Deputy Owen Walton to Sergeant

Sheriff Billy J. Murray is pleased to announce the promotion of Deputy Sheriff Owen Walton to the position of Sergeant at the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.                                                       

Sergeant Walton will be the new Mental Health Officer for the Sheriff's Office assigned to assist the Judge of Probate while overseeing all mental health related duties.

The day-to-day duties of the Mental Health Officer will include training, mental health admissions, crisis intervention, evaluations, and many other responsibilities.
