Keira Callender receives Scholarship from Sheriffs Foundation

St. Clair County Sheriff Billy J. Murray recently had the honor of awarding a 1,000.00 scholarship on behalf of the Alabama Sheriffs Foundation to Keira Callender of Pell City. Keira is a recent graduate of Pell City High School.

The scholarship was awarded to help Keira begin her education in law enforcement at Jacksonville State University.

Sheriff Murray says, "Any son or daughter of a full-time Sheriff's Office employee who will be attending a community college, college, or university within the State of Alabama whose career objective is a degree focused on law enforcement, corrections or another aspect of criminal justice is eligible to apply for the Alabama Sheriffs Association scholarship".

We are thrilled that one of our own has excelled in her studies and wants to follow her dreams of a law enforcement career!
