Event: Arrest made after narcotics search warrant

Location: Riverside

The St. Clair County DEU made two arrests after executing narcotics search warrant at Riverhouse Apartments in Riverside. The DEU was assisted by St. Clair Sheriff's Patrol, the Pell City Police Department, and the Riverside Police Department.

DEU recovered approximately 3.3 pounds of marijuana, approximately 1 pound of mushrooms that are suspected to contain the controlled substance and hallucinogen psilocybin, approximately 1 pound of controlled substance THC wax, multiple controlled substance THC vape cartridges, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun.

Ananias M. Bonin was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, one count of drug trafficking, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

A female at the residence was also arrested and charged with one count of drug trafficking, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
