Location: Moody

Subject: Brandis Ann Colton a 45 y/o, w/f of 1195 Wolf Creek Rd. In Pell City 

On Monday, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and the Moody Police Department responded to an unresponsive female behind Sherwin Williams in the City of Moody.

Upon investigation, Brandi Ann Colton was found to be deceased, from self-inflicted injuries.   

Upon follow up investigation, investigators discovered Nathan Lee Loots who had been in a relationship with the deceased female, at a residence on Wolf Creek Rd. in Pell City. The male subject had multiple gunshot wounds.

Both scenes were processed by Jacksonville State University center for Applied Forensics.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office along with the Moody Police Department continue to investigate.
