Event: Scammers posing as law enforcement

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public of an ongoing scam happening in the county. Criminals are posing as local law enforcement by phone or text to extort money or private information.

Please be aware that the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office does not call citizens requesting money for arrest warrant fines or any other reason. You should never give out personal information to callers or by text.

Please be vigilant in keeping your personal information secure at all times.
